What is one accomplishment (big or small) you are proud of as a coach? I’ve had the joy of working with a few producers who came to lessons wanting to learn to sing their own tracks. What is one accomplishment (big or small) you are proud of as a coach?
I'm really proud that I was able to continue to grow my business throughout Covid19. March 2020 was terrifying as a self-employed coach. Not only was I worried about how I might cope financially, I also worried that many of my younger students' progress would be interrupted. Luckily, I was able to start up an online choir, expand my client base and continue to teach all my regular clients online. It made me realise that singing lessons were an important part of a healthy routine for so many of my students.

What is one accomplishment (big or small) you are proud of as a coach?
I love when I see clients that began in a very fledgling state, who are now releasing their own original material and sounding great as vocalists!
Is there a tool, mindset, or strategy you’ve embraced that has made a positive impact on your studio or clients?
I’m not sure that it’s a conscious strategy, but much like ViP, I don’t approach it as a hierarchy. I do “teach”, but it feels to me like I am much more an experienced teammate. So my clients’ personal wins totally excite me, and overall, it’s FUN.
What drew you to become a ViP member?
I was a brand new teacher with literally only a few weeks under my belt when I was invited to my first ViP conference. I was welcomed as a peer with open arms and invited to lear...
