Michelle Valenzuela Ornest is a voice and songwriting coach, singer-songwriter, and founder of Michelle Ornest Vocal Studio. Her student-centered teaching approach based on voice science is aimed at contemporary music vocalists looking to improve their technique, gain confidence, and develop healthy singing habits. With a BA in music and over fifteen years of teaching experience, Michelle has earned recognition as one of the top vocal coaches in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. As a songwriter, Michelle has written for licensing companies such as APM, landing TV song placements on FX, HGTV, PGA Golf Tour, E-Talk, NASCAR, and Audible. Her latest album entitled "Bitter Pill" earned her radio play on FM stations throughout California, and her female/bilingual version of "Folsom Prison Blues" gained over a quarter million views. In 2018, Michelle opened her first private teaching studio in Redondo Beach, CA, and grew it from just a handful of students to over sixty in under two years while in the midst of a pandemic. Michelle is passionate about sharing her love of music and singing with all of her students! From the young beginner to the professional touring/recording artist, Michelle knows how to make lessons challenging, rewarding, and fun while giving her students results!
